Wippermann Chain Measure Tool: Made from stainless steel this high quality precision tool measures chain wear in seconds. Simply place the tool on the chain, if it lies flat on the chain, then it has stretched more than 1% and needs replacing. (1) Place the indicator on the chain - If there is a space between the tool and the chain, then you're good to go. (2) If the indicator lies flat along the chain, then this means the chain is worn-out and should be replaced in order avoid excessive wear on drive train parts.
