3T ErgoSum Pro Alloy Road Handlebars: The new ERGOSUM PRO is a triple-butted Al 7075 T6 bar. ERGOSUM is shallower than ROTUNDO, and its shape suits smaller hands better. We redesigned the bend with a tighter radius where the brake lever sits, so you can adjust the angle of your handhold on the hoods easily without moving the lever far in either direction. We liked this feature so much, we gave it a name: QuickBend. Below the levers, the transition to the bottom of the bars is gradual, so it's comfortable to get hold of anywhere along its length - unlike many bars styled 'anatomic'. Our studies told us exaggerated handholds don't suit many people, so we created this ERGOSUM bend. We believe it will find favor with many sporting riders. The chosen bar and stem combination for CSC/Saxo Bank pro road team and the 2008 Tour De France winner. In particular, we have optimized the design of the clamps. Steerers and handlebars are now usually made of composite materials, and can easily be compromised by poor clamp design. To assure the integrity of the ARX clamp interface, we perform our own tests that go way beyond the demands of CEN standards.
