Sidi Five 2011 Road Shoes: New for 2011, Sidi Five road shoes offer a strong set of features including a carbon composite sole and a micrometric caliper buckle. All with unbeatable Sidi styling. Soft Instep Closure System: The wide, padded strap is coupled to a soft, thermoformed material to increase comfort and performance. It distributes pressure evenly over the arch area and is adjustable from both sides for perfect centering. The system elimates the need for the High Instep Extender and uses the SL and Caliper buckle straps, which are serviceable and replaceable. Caliper Buckle: The micrometric closure is regulated by lifting the central buckle. In order to completely open, lift together both sides buckles. To slightly loosen the closure while riding, push down the central clip. High Security Velcro: The high security straps with integrated locking polymer teeth engage onto each other when the strap is closed. This feature makes the closure more secure and the strap becomes unmoveable. Heel Cup System (HCS): Sidi Created the heel cup system for cyclists with narrower ankles. The mechanism tightens the top of the heel cup so that it doesn't slip during steep climbs or sprints. Made from thermoplastic, it can be easily replaced or removed. Sidi Genius 5 Pro Road Shoes 2011 Shoes Sidi Sidi Genius 5 Pro Road Shoes 2011: Designed for the road, the Genius 5 Pro features the Millennium 3 Sole for 3-point cleat systems and SiDi's red SL buckle closure system. Lorica® Lorica lightwieght artificial leather. It is breathable and water-repellent but it does not retain odours. As well as being tough and resistant to scratches, Lorica conforms to the shape of the foot like leather without the shoe having to be 'broken in'. Soft Instep Closure System The wide, anatomical and padded strap has been reduced and coupled to a soft, thermoformed material, increasing comfort and performance. It distributes pressure evenly over the arch area, is adjustable from both sides and can be centered perfectly. The system is serviceable and replaceable, it also eliminates the need for using the SiDi High Instep Extender. SL Buckle Allows locking in two different ways: by taking up a number of clicks with one sweep of the lever, or engaging a half click at a time for a truly micro-metric adjustment. The two red flaps may be pressed together for complete unlocking or alternately to slightly loosen the shoe during performance.
