    The Ride
The Ride Journal - Issue Four: The Ride Journal captures the true culture and feeling of cyclists and cycling as a whole with rich, stunning visuals and compelling features. Each Journal issue is an all encompassing read. 'The Ride' know that most people who share their obsession with bikes don't want to be pigeon-holed as roadies, freeriders, track racers, BMXers, XC riders or even commuters. They are just riders. So The Ride created something for them, and also for themselves. Something that crosses both cycling and international borders. The idea was to create a journal of personal stories. Bikes have changed people's lives in so many ways and we wanted to gather a small selection of these tales. The journal doesn't give reviews or race reports, it gets under the skin and exposes the passion that flows through riders veins. In issue 4 you can find: Mark Cavendish on winning. Greyson Perry on racing mountain bikes. Tom Southam on the start of a new season. Brandon Semenuk on slopestyle skills. African Pastors, Alps, accidents, South London BMX, bankruptcy, bakeries, Scottish speedway, deserts, descents, velodromes, poetry and the redemption that can be found on a stolen ride. All held together with the usual amazing selection of photographs and illustrations from across the globe.

DMR 898 Team Issue Frame 2011: This DMR 898 frame uses our premium Cro.Mo tubing and it is tig welded to our normal high standard, it's also Heat Treated...but with a difference Most good dirt-jump frames are heat treated, but BEFORE welding. This means that the welding process sets up all sorts of stress and strain in the frame that can weaken it and destroy the ride quality. The 898 is heat treated AFTER welding. It goes through a DMR devised process of heating and cooling; this helps it relax and soothes away all its angst. The result is a lighter, tougher, more dependable, longer lasting and friendlier frame. 898? 898°C is the temp that helps the frame to relax at the start of its therapy. It's the key to the whole process, then it's hardened and toughened [we'll keep those temps secret] making it one of the strongest and smoothest riding frames that you will ever own Tubeset - custom butted tubing is made from a special steel alloy which after heat treatment is about 40% stronger Thinner sidewalls reduce weight CNC machined headtube to control wall thickness so strength/ weight ratio is optimised 10mm dropout are cnc machined to save more weight MID BB has stronger bearings which fit straight into the frame to reduce weight Dirt jump geometry
