Pace Rc80 Bottom Bracket Inside Out Lube Tool Cycling Pace Pace RC80 Bottom Bracket Inside Out Lube Tool: Simplicity of servicing is an essential part of the design and the Pace BB Lube Tool makes for quick and efficient maintenance. Leave the BB in the frame and slide out crank- pop off the BB outer seal then insert the tool and using a grease gun pump out any contamination and pump in fresh grease. The important feature here is that the tool seals off the BB just inside of the bearing and grease is introduced into the back of the bearing- pushing grease back through the bearing from the inside (contamination is therefore pushed out- not in). Pace Rc80 Mtb Bottom Brackets Cycling Pace Pace RC80 MTB Bottom Brackets: The new RC80 BB is precision cnc machined in the UK by Pace and designed as a high performance, durable, re-buildable and easily maintained piece. Lots of functional and practical details have been built in to offer a unique high quality product. Great attention has been given to sealing- the main feature of which is the external dynamic seal with an outer lip which engages into cups' seal groove and orientated so it expands to prevent ingress of dirt and water if hosed onto BB. Twin lips seal against crank shaft. Also a common issue is created when dirt and water enter the BB from the inside (often happens when water enters BB shell from inside frame tubes) so the RC80 has double large section inner O-Rings on sleeve to give maximum protection internally from dirt and water which may rest in BB shell. The precision Enduro bearings are also fitted with a dual lip labyrinth seal for added protection. Cups are cnc machined from tough high grade aluminium and have greater thread penetration than standard to provide additional support and engagement (particularly useful in BB shells with worn or damaged threads)- deeper on drive side.
